Alcatel joins Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA)

San Ramon, CA and Paris – January 11, 2006 – The Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA TM) today announced that Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA) has joined as an associate member.

Field tests in real-world situations revealed MoCA technology net throughputs of more than100 Mbps to 97 percent of coax outlets, without remediation, and 100 percent with a small and inexpensive filter.
