Comtrend Unveils NexusLink CT-5633 Bonded ADSL2+/MoCA Residential Gateway At NXTcomm 07 Pioneering Device Supports DSL-Based IP Video and/or MoCA Coax Networked Digital Entertainment; USB Ports Allow Operation of Hard Drive, Printer or Other Peripheral McCormick Place, Chicago / Hall A, Booth 6737, June 19, 2007 — Comtrend Corp., a leading supplier of broadband, VoIP and data networking equipment, today announced its new NexusLink CT-5633 Bonded ADSL2+/MoCA Residential Gateway, a breakthrough in integrated, next-generation home networking support, at NXTcomm 07 in Chicago. The versatile, comprehensive unit allows service providers to provision homeowners with the latest DSL broadband access and coax home entertainment network technologies, while also supporting USB peripherals and an Ethernet-based LAN. "The NexusLink CT-5633 is a future-ready device that enables delivery of several of the most promising digital entertainment standards," said Andrew Morton, Comtrend's general manager. "Its flexibility allows it to serve as the single hub for a complete range of data, VoIP, IP video, and IPTV services." The NexusLink CT-5633 is a breakthrough for providers and homeowners alike. The device includes support for standards based Bonded ADSL2+; Entropic Communications c.LINK™ chipset as the entertainment LAN for MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance) via cable port; and USB-based host and device hookups suitable for a hard drive, printer or other peripheral device. Four RJ-45 Ethernet LAN ports allow homeowners to connect up to four PCs directly, while the built-in WiFi 802.11g capability enables connectivity for a wide variety and number of wireless devices.
